The Apple and the stand are both done! Now onward to the next papercraft! Which will most likely be the mask of the Hellequin.

There is also a large papercraft project going on between me and ~JouzuMania but I am not sure when I'm able to fully reveal stuff about that one!

Alright, so after much debating and quarreling with myself (yeah I am boss enough to do that!) I decided to make the Apple of Eden my next papercraft. Not much excitement in making a sphere I thought to myself...until I found out that I had to redo the texture (because it was 256x256 px and making it 12,5 cm made it pixelated...like playing FF8 on huge ass tv! Lovely, old skool, but not what you are used to )
And since I was putting all that effort into a texture I thought to myself, meh why not also make a stand! So now I didn't only have to brush up my photoshop memories, but also my 3d skillz! (which aren't that good since I had to use a tutorial to remember how the boolean thingy worked...)

But...all troubles aside... I HAZ AN APPLE OF EDEN! Well not quite yet, since it is still digital, but you get my drift. The apple will be build asap and then pics will be available!

And to top this journal off... A friend of mine ([link]) put in one of her blogentries that she gave herself a challenge...the challenge of 'one project, one month'. Which basically means just what it says...every month a project to make. And I thought to myself...that is actually a pretty cool idea...so with this I say:

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED~!

I will hereby as well make at least one project a month! (now lets see how long I can keep it up with a new job and all coming on the way XD)

Lame title may be lame, or not

So I haven't let anything be heard of me in a while...oh well life happens they say In the mean time I finished Assassin's Creed 2 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood...which both caused me to make my latests papercraft: The Malfatto Mask! Completely lifesized and wearable!

I also started with the game Alice: Madness Returns (for which I blame ~JouzuMania XD) Finished Jouzu's model from the Vorpal Blade on that one and am now trying to get the Cheshire Cat model so I can make that papercraft! (anyone have the model laying around?)

Renamon also has been finished and I am loving her to pieces! She got a special place on my working desk ^^ (mainly because she is so large that she won't fit on the shelves, but still!)

Other than that...not much to report for now.

Achievement unlocked! STOOD IN THE FIRE! (yes that means Deathwing is all done!)

Yeah or not It wouldn't be all that easy to do to make this dragon breath out any fire. And it is not something I am planning on doing either. Nor would I like frying people with this lovely baby~! (I would totally marry this thing if it were legal... and not creepy or so )

I gave myself a deadline for Abunai! 2011 to finish this one. (this is an anime/game convention in the Netherlands) and people were so damn amazingly enthusiastic about this papercraft. I honestly NEVER in my WILDEST DREAMS imagined having such an awesome response to this.

The reason I gave myself that deadline, was because I am holding papercraft workshops in that convention. Now mostly it is cubee crafting, but since we have only 2 hours during the workshops there isn't that much time to make a bigger papercraft. Nonetheless...the workshops went great, it was really a full house and it was awesome to see people responding to it that way.

And onto other news: Photos of Abunai are currently being edited, I have refound my love for Assassin's Creed (I still need more people in my PS3 friendlist for all that too XD) and will therefore build the Harlequin mask + hat! And if I ever get the Hellequin model too, I will make that one too! (debating on if I should do the Doctor one)

Got all the horns of Deathwing crafted and by doing so...I am now halfway done with him! Up next is the nose and everything else that is attached to it. Last will be the bottom jaw. Since I want to make the jaw move and all that. Not to sure yet on how I will have to do it with the eye openings though...I find it sorta sad to have to cut holes into him again after I am done with it...
But...I will get him done, that I know for sure. If I just do like 2 pages a day I will still get it XD

Who of the people reading this stuff are going to Abunai the end of this month btw?

Mmm, a little less than a month until Abunai! starts... I think that I timed my progression with Deathwing kinda neatly with it. I want it done before then and I just finished the unfolding. The only part I am still iffy about...I do not know where to put holes for me to look through XD So maybe I'll just...not look through it and only wear it for photos and fun. Carrying a death dragon head around has it's advantages too I guess!

So, I have another wedding to photograph on the 5th of July. I am really happy to have another opportunity to do such a thing because I rather enjoyed the previous wedding I was at to photograph!

I finished Portal 2 just a few days ago, I honestly loved the ending! SPAAAAAAACCCEEEEE! XD In a related note to that...I got the GLaDoS potato form as a 3D model to see if I could make it into a papercraft...unfortunately this has been cut short because the wires and stuff are so small that even if I would make the potato itself 30cm high (which is too big for a potato in my eyes) the pieces would still be too small...drats --; another papercraft plan shot to bits XD

Aside from that, not many other things to say now...so I want to ask you...what have you been up to? Any plans for the upcoming vacation? Or just gonna chill at home?

O...M....EFFING G!! I got an email on saturday, asking if I wanted to be interviewed for the World of Warcraft Magazine about my WoW papercrafts!! *squeals* This is so effing awesomesauce epic!!
I still can't believe it, no matter how many times I read the email. And today (monday) I got another email with all the questions in it! I am so damn happy with it...that they would consider asking lil' ol' me! *dances around the room*

Upcoming are the photos from Animecon 2011 and from a wedding I have been asked to photograph! I am really excited about the wedding, since this will be the first time I am doing such a thing and while I am confident in the fact I will be able to do it, it is still a huge project so it has me slightly nervous

On the papercraft progression...as you can see there is quite a bit of bold stuff in the list. So you can see, I have not been sitting still XD There are a few new entries as well as one being canceled.  And yes...that Yoda is there on purpose --;

Aside from making a TF2 papercraft and wearing a 'My little pony' t-shirt there is another thing added to what I said I would never do and am doing now anyways. I have had a photoshoot with....cars!
Yes, you read correctly...I already did it. So soon there will be (at least a few) cars in my gallery as well. (after the Phantasium photos that is)

So I changed the title of my journal. I am not planning on making this journal JUST about papercraft, since this dA isn't JUST about papercraft either. I got lot of photos in here as well so I want to post about that...and maybe more XD Who knows... Not sure on what the title will be but I might change it around some. If you have any ideas lemme know!
